In this memoir Jerry Ayan narrates the journey of his 10-year-old daughter, Anne-Laure, from the moment she was diagnosed with a brain tumour until her death 4 years later. Ayan wrote the book as a tribute to Anne-Laure, and for other parents with children that have rare cancers and serves to advocate for more research into paediatric cancers.
