Follicular lymphoma is a fascinating disease with remarkable biological features and a prolonged, often chronic, clinical course for most patients, adding further complexity when considering clinically relevant study endpoints. Despite its limitations, progression-free survival remains a useful and reproducible criterion to decipher the underlying biology that accounts for the heterogeneous outcome of patients and to assess the efficacy of new treatments.
