Best practice guidelines in the psychosocial management of HPV-related head and neck cancer. Recommendations from the European Head and Neck Cancer Society's Make Sense Campaign

This article summarises best practices for supporting patients from initial HPV-related cancer diagnosis, with recommendations on the integration of counselling, psychological assessment, sexual impact discussion, patient education, and referrals into head and neck cancer treatment plans. It is hoped that raising awareness through the Make Sense Campaign will ultimately improve patient outcomes.
