Incidental Thrombus in Transit Causing Embolic Stroke

Thrombus in transit leading to paradoxical systemic arterial embolism is a rare echocardiographic finding in patients presenting with embolic stroke. Etiologies of cardioembolic stroke and the use of echocardiography in diagnosis and management are briefly discussed.
