Human-Machine Collaboration—A New Form of Paternalism?—Reply

In Reply Studies have shown that patients with cancer report being asked about their preferences only half of the time during treatment. Thus, incorporating patient preferences and values is an important component of any new care model that seeks to improve on the status quo. We appreciate the opportunity presented by Scholl and coauthors to discuss how the proposed centaur care model does so.
