[Perspectives] One pair of shorts

Oncology often calls upon its practitioners to be more than physicians. The relationships that oncologists develop with their patients can be as therapeutic as the medications they prescribe. Sometimes, being with our patients and comforting them in times of distress is all we can do. We give of ourselves. For one of my patients, this included the clothes off my back.
